Excelitas offers two types of laser diodes.


  (1) Pulsed Laser Diodes 


  (2) High Energy Laser Diode


These are available in wavelengths from 850 nm to 1550 nm.


 905nm Pulsed Laser Diodes

These are produced using Vapor Phase Epitaxial (VPE) and MOCVD grow techniques.


Various packages and fibre optic core diameters are available according to customer specifications.


Multi EPI-Cavity Plastic, SMD and TO-can Pulsed Laser Diodes are available, including


Double (DPGEW), triple (TPGEW), and quad (QPEW) EPI-cavity structures are available in low-cost plastic encapsulated packages.

The plastic packages are available in double (DPGA) and triple (TPGA) hermetic metal package types,


Quod (QPGAS) EPI-cavity structures, and are ideal for high-volume production applications.


 


980nm High Energy Laser Diodes - Quasi CW Lasers

These products are specifically designed to meet the requirements of laser initiated ordnance (LIO) applications.

They include a 9.0 mm TO-style package and an 8 pin mini DIL.


The pigtailed package is equipped with a rear monitor photodiode and 100/140 um optical fibre. 


The 980 nm laser chip features advanced epitaxial materials and an elevated temperature supply to ensure a stable, high optical power output capability.
